re: My new piece!

For any of you who like firearms... check the link below to check out my new 40. Its fucking sweet!

I had a Ruger p90 in .45acp but it was just too big and heavy for my uses, so a couple of weeks ago i traded it for a Marlin .17 mach 2 rifle with a scope. Today i finally picked up the XDM that ive been wanting for a while now... w00t! cant wait for it to stop snowing outside and clear up so i can go out and shoot it. twisted

Very nice Angus! I like it a lot. I need to pick your brain later about the gun I'm looking to get.

re: My new piece!

Very nice indeed, only one question. Why wait until it stops snowing to shoot it? Happy

Huge firearms enthusiast over here as well. I was looking at the XDs but never had a chance to fire one yet. I'm a big fan of small framed handguns because I have small hands. It's always a pain for my pistol qualification with the M9 because of how bulky it is.

re: My new piece!

damn spaz! well at least now i know where to turn for my Springfield hookup!

Nice Glock Mike! Is that a 9mm? How do you like it? I had worked my way down to 3 final choices, either the springfield xdm, the smith & wesson M&P or the Glock 23, all in s&w .40 cal.

I primarily use my pistol as a sidearm while archery hunting way back in the mountains, and my .45 was just way too big and heavy in my pack. I wanted to cut down to a smaller and lighter sidearm that wouldnt be so heavy, yet also still packed some stopping power, which is why i chose the .40 over the smaller 9mm. The compact size and adjustability of the xdm was perfect for me. I'm looking forward to having it in the field with me this next year while hunting, compared to my bigass old ruger 45! wink

no worries, i'll have to hit him up for some accessories! envy

I wouldnt mind picking up a couple extra magazines and maybe a light or lazer sight for the accessory rail.

re: My new piece!

Nice Stoeger Rab! You dont even want to get me started on bows in here....thats an entirely new thread! envy

I'll have to put up pics of my bow setup. I'm currently shooting a Bowtech Invasion CPX at 72 lbs with a 29 inch draw. It's smokin' my 451 grain arrows at over 300 ft per second...It's an elk killing machine! twisted

re: My new piece!

Yea over this past year I switched from 28-1/2 draw to 29". Also upped my lbs from 81 to 83. Currently shooting 450 grain. Most of the extra power I've been adding onto my bow stems from the fact that I hunt in very dense coniferous swamps. I would say that my bow is a whitetail killing machine, first deer I got this past year I missed forward by 2-3 inches and crushed both shoulders blades with the arrow lodging itself into the ground. mad

needless to say I didn't have to track very far.

It is a 9mm (Glock 17). Honestly I've only had the chance to dry fire it. I'm a Sig P220 kind of guy, but it feels good at least. My dad is watching over my guns while I'm stationed down south because I would never trust an armorer with any of my weapons on base.
