Curious, what types of characters you can use in your toon names. I saw some people with the cool lookin ''o'' in their name.
Anyone know?

In your accessories folder you will find a character map which looks like this:
you can simply click copy once you have selected the character of choice to add it to your name or use the code provided below. For instance the special Ø is made by clicking alt + 0216 (I highlighted the wrong code - it is on the right not left).
I have the char map pinned to my toolbar for wsp'ing people who insist on being fancy or can't get their prefered name for w/e reason. I must caution you however it is annoying as hell so please don't use them if you don't have to.

I just don't understand why people want to use special characters. It's nearly impossible to invite you to anything because no one can spell your damn name!

Firrari just type the code that it shows and see it that works. For instance Nate goes by JangØ which you would type as "JANG" followed by alt+0216. Bioware may not let us ctrl+v in their chat - I will have to test when I get home to know for sure.

I won't be inviting anyone with a special character then. I'm not jumping through any hoops to invite someone into a group. I think in guild you can click on someones name and invite them so in guild is cool. To anyone else with a special character in there name,"My mom says we can't play together because you're too cool."

The mail system works nice for guild mates too. As long as they don't have a special character as the first letter we are good. If not they can suck it!

It might just be me but I really dislike it when people use special characters in their name. Started out on Counter Strike when assholes would use them to make it harder to kick/ban them. And then in WoW half the gold spammers would use then and that also annoyed the shit out of me. That's my rant on special characters
